Outback GutterVac Franchise FAQ
Answers to common questions about the Outback GutterVac franchise opportunity
What is Outback GutterVac?
We’re a gutter cleaning and pressure washing franchise that’s raising standards in the industry. Our efficient technology impresses both commercial and residential clients, earning repeat business and enthusiastic referrals that enable our franchise partners to grow their business. We saw a need in the market for a higher level of professionalism, technology and training. Our approach worked in Australia, and it’s working as we expand in the United States.
How much does an Outback GutterVac franchise cost?
The initial investment ranges from $93,900 to $120,750 (including down payment, loan amounts if needed and working capital) for an Outback GutterVac franchise.
What prior experience do I need to own a gutter cleaning and power washing franchise?
You do not need gutter cleaning experience to franchise with Outback GutterVac. We do recommend that you have an entrepreneurial spirit and the drive to follow our business model as you bring Outback GutterVac to your community.
What is the ThunderVac™?
Developed by our founder and a team of engineers back in Australia, the ThunderVac is our own proprietary, powerful vacuum system that removes leaves, sludge and other debris more effectively than other cleaning methods. The ThunderVac is the key to our success in the leaf removal business. It gives our franchise partners a key differentiator over the competition by helping them clean gutters more quickly, safely and thoroughly.
How do you define territories?
Because we want to limit the amount of travel time our franchisees spend going from one job to the next while maximizing their opportunities, our territories are designed for population density. A territory must have a minimum of 50,000 households and 5,000 businesses in one area.
How do you help franchisees win and keep business?
We leverage our brand power and expertise to help franchisees secure commercial and residential gutter cleaning and pressure washing work. Our business support center in Atlanta helps franchisees drive business and keep current clients engaged and satisfied with their services. The business support center can also handle follow-up calls with clients and can even provide quotes over the phone for residential clients.
How many employees do I need?
To operate an Outback GutterVac franchise, you may be able to begin on your own or with only one employee if you plan to go on appointments yourself. However, if you want to take on larger territories and more work, you will need to ramp up your staff accordingly. We guide you through the process of ensuring that any additional employees receive ladder and roof safety training that meets OSHA and ANSI standards, as well as the necessary training in our proprietary ThunderVac™ Technology, our code of ethics and the technology needed to perform all our services in a professional, expert manner.
What training and support do you offer?
Outback GutterVac has developed an intensive training platform that includes guidance on how to manage every aspect of your business, including the most important part: cleaning gutters. We also offer you ladder and roof safety training that meets OSHA and ANSI standards, as well as training on our proprietary ThunderVac™ Technology and on how to effectively market your business. We will guide you through the entire process of launching your Outback GutterVac to ensure that you have everything you need to optimize your chances for success.
Can I scale my gutter cleaning and power washing franchise?
Yes, you can start with a single territory or purchase multiple locations. Each territory needs to have its own truck, trailer and equipment package. Often, owners are able to rapidly expand the number of trucks, trailers and equipment as the business grows.
Do you have incentives for veterans to open franchises?
Yes. Because veterans have the skills necessary to become successful Outback GutterVac franchisees, entrepreneurs with a history of honorable military service will be awarded two franchise territories for the cost of one. This incentive helps veterans more quickly scale their businesses.
